Life Sciences Account Manager

Job Type: Full-Time, Remote
Experience Level: 3–5 years of B2B account management and/or consultative sales experience

At Criterion Edge, we empower life sciences organizations—spanning pharmaceutical, medical device, and IVD companies—to meet their global regulatory and clinical documentation needs with confidence. Our expert-driven, flexible writing and strategy solutions help clients accelerate submissions, ensure compliance, and improve internal bandwidth. As a trusted partner we are committed to delivering exceptional service through a combination of deep subject matter expertise, best-in-class processes, and a collaborative approach.
As an Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for nurturing and growing relationships with our existing clients, solving client issues, and serving as a strategic liaison between client stakeholders and our internal teams. You’ll lead the coordination of repeat business, upsell opportunities, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure projects are executed efficiently at expected quality, giving clients exceptional value.
This is a mid-to-senior-level role ideal for someone with strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and a genuine interest in helping life sciences clients succeed. While you won’t be expected to serve as a technical expert, you will need to understand our service offerings and know when to involve the right internal technical stakeholders to move initiatives forward or solve problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow relationships with assigned client accounts, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and expansion
  • Identify and solve client issues, working with the projects team to dignose and propose solutions, and guarantee successful execution of solutions
  • Identify upsell opportunities and collaborate with marketing and new business sales to expand client engagement
  • Serve as the central point of contact for clients, coordinating internal resources including Project Managers, SMEs, and Finance
  • Lead client meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and follow-up
  • Scope new opportunities by working with internal experts to develop accurate proposals and timelines
  • Manage the invoicing process: turn hours reports into invoices, coordinate PO collection and ensure alignment between Sales, Finance, and Project Management
  • Maintain accurate account data and activity tracking within HubSpot CRM
  • Support onboarding of new clients and ensure a smooth transition to delivery teams
  • Assist with contract creation and administration using internal templates
  • Provide high-touch service and timely communication to all client and internal stakeholders
  • Support reporting on account performance and key metrics for leadership review
  • Perform other administrative and account coordination duties as needed

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in client-facing roles such as account management, customer success, or consultative B2B sales
  • Familiarity with the life sciences or healthcare industry a plus (but not required)
  • Experience managing many accounts and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without authority
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with CRM software (preferably HubSpot); experience with project management tools like Asana is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, life sciences, or a related field preferred
